For all those who dream of changing the world.
Why change the world?
Like all others, we’ll start with why.
The world has always reeked of hate and war, and if we continue to do what we always have, we are never going to start to see any less of it. There’s discrimination, and prejudices, and people living fake lives.
Who are we fooling?
What to change in the world?
If I was given a chance to change one thing in the world, I’d change the number of people who think about change. Secondly, I’d then start to change who I am, what I think, and how I approach society. Convenient to say I’d begin by changing myself.
How to change the world?
This is the tricky part. It includes the tactics and the techniques we’d employ to bring a positive change in the world. Everyone out there has their ideas and lists on how they are going to approach this challenge. Everyone out there is valid and right. Everyone out there has a vision, a value-proposition that represents them and tells the others who they are.
This is who we are. An extensive blog post series about changing the world.
My Formula for Changing the World.
To change the world, you have to look at it like you’ve never looked at it before.
So how have you been looking at it until now?
And how are you going to look at it from now on?
The Formula
Philosophy
Our strengths lie in our differences. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. 195 countries together don’t make 195 countries. They make Planet Earth. 8.1 billion people together in the world don’t make 8.1 billion people. They make Humanity. And humanity holds in its hands the greatest and most important power to ever be jn the galaxy—the power to develop, to learn, to grow, to change.
If you are in a room full of lizards tigers and koalas, make sure you talk plenty about lizards, tigers and koalas, no matter how different they all might be.
Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again. – Homer, The Iliad
Give me a place to stand, and a lever long enough, and I will move the world. – Archimedes
You either have to be part of the solution, or you’re going to be part of the problem. – Eldridge Cleaver
The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. – Steve Jobs. I think we all are a little crazy, at least to some extent. Let’s see if we are crazy enough.
Changing the world requires creativity. It can be done only by being creative, achieving your greatest artistic mastery and putting a dent somewhere in the way things are.
There are three things extremely hard: steel, a diamond, and to know one’s self. – Benjamin Franklin
All that we need to change the world is the ability to do art (good or bad, because bad is just another kind of good), the guts to look stupid, a smart mouth, a solid idea, and a damn mindset that never gives up.
